Verified Emission Reductions (VERs) are carbon credits generated in the voluntary carbon market. Examples of VER are Voluntary Carbon Units (VCU) under the Voluntary Carbon Standard and VERs from the Voluntary Gold Standard (VGS). One VER is equal to one tonne of CO2e.
